Product Details: 'HiPer Access Router Card Set (Ethernet) Base system with on-board dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface, 64 MB memory (expandable to 256MB), 4 MB flash memory.' The HiPer Access Router Card Set is a complete solution for Internet service providers, telcos and large corporate networks that require high-performance routing technology. The HiPer Access Router Card is part of the HiPer Access System and is used in conjunction with HiPer DSP Cards to form a complete solution for unparalleled remote access performance. The HiPer Access Router Card supports and routes 336 analog or ISDN dial-up calls via T1 or T1-PRI connections, or 420 analog or ISDN dial-up calls via E1 or E1-PRI connections. Two HiPer Access Router Cards may be configured in a single Total Control HiPer Access System to provide statistical redundancy for increased routing performance.
Features - LAN Protocol Support includes IP with RIP I, RIP II, CIDR, IP RIP spoofing and DHCP address assignment.
- WAN Protocol Support includes Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), Multilink PPP, Serial Line IP (SLIP), Compression over PPP and SLIP and PAP/CHAP authentication.
- Modem Pooling and Dial Out Services are available via TELNET Session.
- Distributed Security Services allow dial-in user authentication across multiple HiPer Access Router Cards within the HiPer Access System. Utilizing the industry standard RADIUS (Remote Access Dial-In User Service) protocol, this provides password encryption, dialback and other security measures to protect network services.
- Per-User Firewalls provide additional security once a user is granted access to a network. System administrators are able to filter packet, protocol and transport layers. Filtering can be applied on any port dynamically on a call-by-call basis and independently in either direction.
- Dial Security with Dialback verifies authorized callers and modems prior to passing a remote originated call, or initiates dialback based on device configuration.
- SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) means users can monitor, control and manage network equipment from a central or remote location either directly, or through the Network Management Console Card via Total Control Manager/SNMP software or any SNMP-based management host.
